Working with our Neighbours

Runway Run 2009
We believe strongly in learning from our neighbours about key issues, so we host regular meetings to discuss economic development and planning, noise management, and the taxi and limousine industry at Toronto Pearson. We also coordinate workshops, tours and open houses from time to time to provide opportunities for our neighbours and aviation enthusiasts to learn more about airport operations.

While our communities are helping us, we also find joy in helping our communities.

Every Friday, employees donate $2 to wear jeans for our Casual for a Cause campaign. The charity changes monthly so we can raise awareness for many organizations.

The GTAA is proud to be sponsoring the Canadian Alpine Team for the Winter Olympics 2010, as well as supporting several smaller sponsorship opportunities. At Runway Run 2009, we raised $130,000 for The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, in appreciation for the medical support they provide our travellers throughout the year. Our employees have also initiated annual food and toy drives to support charities throughout our community.

Stay tuned for upcoming community events, which may include airplane pulls, runs along the runway, family fun and several excellent charity events.
