Consultative CommitteeThe GTAA created the Consultative Committee (CC) as a forum for community involvement which meets three to four times a year. The GTAA CC deals primarily with economic development and planning matters, and provides a communication/consultation forum for community constituents to meet with GTAA management and staff consistent with the requirements of the Ground Lease (Article 9.04):
"The GTAA shall within six months of the transfer date, establish a community consultative committee to provide for effective dialogue and dissemination of information on matters relating to the Airport, including: airport planning and plans; operational aspects of the Airport; and municipal concerns. The Consultative Committee shall meet not less than twice each year, and shall be comprised of members who are generally representative of the community, including persons representing the interests of consumers, the travelling public and organized labour, aviation industry representatives and appropriate provincial and municipal government representatives."
