The GTAA assumed management, operation and maintenance of Toronto Pearson International Airport from Transport Canada on December 2, 1996. The GTAA operates Toronto Pearson based on the following vision:

Vision: A leading airport company championing sustainable global access for the Greater Toronto Area.
