Toronto Pearson helps make every bit count for kids
Every Bit Counts — a program of the Children’s Miracle Network — made its official debut at Toronto Pearson International Airport on September 15 with the deployment of the Globe Donation Canisters at Terminal 1.

Representatives from Air Canada Kids’ Horizons program, the Children’s Miracle Network, SickKids Foundation, the GTAA and people around the terminal gathered for the unveiling of the ten globes collection. These units give passengers, airport employees and those picking up passengers the opportunity to support pediatric hospitals across Canada by donating whatever money they can.

“The GTAA is pleased to be able to partner with Air Canada Kids’ Horizons and Children’s Miracle Network to help bring this arrangement to the next level,” said Lloyd McCoomb, President and CEO of the GTAA. “Playing a small part in helping to bring health and happiness to kids is something that we are very proud to be involved in.”

Since 1994, Air Canada Kids’ Horizons has been supporting Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in Canada through various programs, including Every Bit Counts. Air Canada flight attendants collect spare change from passengers on inbound international flights. All monies raised are donated to Children’s Miracle Network, assisting them in their goal of helping to bridge the gap between communities and medical expertise. The primary focus of Air Canada Kids’ Horizon is to enhance the quality of life for Canadian children by offering free flights to alleviate the travel costs often associated with illness and making dreams come true for thousands of children.
