Concessions program at Toronto Pearson recognized by ARN
The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is pleased to announce that on February 17, Toronto Pearson International Airport was presented with the award for Best Overall Concession Program in a Large Airport Division at the 2009 Airport Revenue News (ARN) Conference & Exhibition, held in Orlando, Florida.

This award is handed out yearly by ARN to the airport with a concessions program that incorporates all facets of program excellence: great customer service, attractive storefronts, good mix of shops, quality of food services and overall high standards.

“To have our concessions program recognized with an award like this—one that is determined by our peers, concession partners and industry colleagues—is truly gratifying,” says Eileen Waechter, GTAA Director, Properties and Business Development. Janine Gervais, GTAA General Manager, Concessions, adds: “Delivering an integrated concessions program that satisfies the needs of the airport users is undertaken in concert with a number of other partners, so we are pleased to share this award with the entire Toronto Pearson family.”

The ARN conference gathers airports and concessionaires from across North America for the opportunity to meet with industry leaders and discuss retail trends, as well as strategies for improving business.

Airport Revenue News is a monthly publication that discusses airport revenue sources. The publication has become one of the leading sources for news and information on airports. Each year, the ARN hosts an award ceremony to feature areas where both airports and concessionaires have excelled.
